Some wedding days simply stay with you, and Grace and Dan's was one of them.
Set amongst the stunning landscape of Mokau, their day was filled with emotion, meaningful moments, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that comes from celebrating with the people who matter most.
The day began in a pair of baches nestled alongside the beautiful Mokau River, where Grace and Dan got ready. Grace looked absolutely beautiful, with her makeup beautifully crafted by Danielle and her hair styled by Kirsty. Every detail came together effortlessly, perfectly reflecting her beautiful personality.
One of the most special decisions Grace and Dan made was choosing to have a first look before the ceremony. It was emotional, genuine, and gave them the opportunity to spend more of their wedding day celebrating with the people they love rather than being pulled away for photographs. Their ceremony took place on a private family farm overlooking the incredible Mokau landscape. Surrounded by hills and breathtaking views, it felt deeply personal and meaningful. Family, friends, laughter, tears, and heartfelt vows created a ceremony that perfectly reflected who Grace and Dan are as a couple. Guiding the ceremony was the wonderful Emily from Weddings by Emily, who brought warmth and authenticity to every moment, making the occasion feel even more special.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the iconic Tongaporutu Hall for a relaxed and memorable reception. The atmosphere was full of joy as everyone gathered to share stories, celebrate, and dance the night away.
Adding to the laid-back vibe was Bite Me Food Truck, serving up delicious tacos that kept guests coming back for more. The combination of great food, great company, and an incredible location made for an unforgettable evening.
